A Perfect Saturday Night

Our Saturday nights have changed since we had Jack, but we wouldn't have it any other way!

He brings us so much laughter and is just the cutest little fellow!

We started out with some green beans for dinner. yummmmm

Then it was on to chasing Chico around by rolling around and scooting to him (he is REALLY close to crawling)!!
He was fascinated with Chico wagging his tail

Chico is so good with Jack... he lets him pretty much do what he wants. As you can see Buck is nowhere to be found, Buck is protective of Jack but he doesn't really hang around to let Jack pull on his tail..ha haAfter his play date with Chico it was time for bath! This is such a cute picture but he is such a stinker! This is exactly what he does now when we change his diaper! Turns around to his belly and wont let us do it! Its a challenge to say the least!

He has so many bath toys and loves them all! He spends so much time trying to decide which one he wants to play with. Check out blue ducky...Buckley got a hold of him! Poor duck!

Once he decides which one he wants ...it goes straight to the mouth!

Home Sweet Home

I came home tonight from California. I had a great time with my co workers and my girlfriend Kristin but I sure did miss my family! Once I landed I couldn't get home soon enough! I literally got my stuff out of the car and ran for the door! I washed my hands and then rushed to hold my baby! Wow even though I was only gone for 4 days, I swear he has grown a few inches, he is so tall! I wasn't sure if he knew who I was at first, he was looking at Gran and then looking at me. Finally he started to touch my face and nestle his head against my chest. It was the sweetest thing ever, he really is just the most precious baby!
We are so thankful for Nelvi and Gran for helping Kevin hold the fort down while I was gone. It's so nice to have the strong support system that we are blessed with. I was enjoying my time Jack tonight, so the camera never came out for pictures. So yep... it's another sleeping picture, but I love them. I can't keep my eyes off him tonight, I've gone in to check on him so many times.
Thanks Kev for being Mr. Mom, you did a great job!

Here is Jack with his butt in the air, he was doing this before I left, so I guess this is his new favorite sleeping position. Per my mom this is how I used to sleep too, with my knees tucked and butt in air. So cute!

7 MONTHS OLD

Really? 7 months ?? Woah slow down there little boy!
We took his pictures a day early since I have to go out of town next week. Isn't he getting so big?!?

Check out those long legs!! He is in the 97% percentile for height now!

What he is doing:

• 7 oz of formula every three hours (the boy won't break away to 8 oz every 4, he wants to drink his baba!
• 9 am eats his breakfast - which is one jar of fruit
• 10: 30 am goes down for a nap (usually an hour)
• 2: 30 pm goes down for his 2nd nap (usually 1.5 hours)
• 6 pm has his dinner - which is one jar of veggies
• Drinks water out of a sippie cup
• 7 pm goes night night. He is still sleeping from 7pm to 7 am - such a good sleeper!
• Has two teeth
• Loves to eat mumums or gerber veggie sticks
• Went to two birthday parties!
• Trying to crawl, he tripods and then lifts his legs under his butt! SO CUTE!
• Still not sitting up for long periods of time, he doesn't like to do it! That's ok! :)
• Got sick for the first time but got better within a few days, and never was that cranky!
• Laughs at Buckley and Chico all the time
• Loves for Kevin to read to him, laughs all the time
• Everything goes into his mouth, so we really have to watch him ALL the time
• Still fits in his swing but a few more pounds I think he will be done
• He will watch a few minutes of Yo Gabba Gabba, but then he gets bored
• Plays by himself for up to 30 minutes!
• Will touch your nose if you touch it too, we are tying to teach him where HIS nose is
• Started Gymoboree once a week with Nelvi
• Loves to watch other kids play
• Pushes the buttons on all his toys, he knows what they do and so he wants to hear the music he will push the button
• bangs his feet on everything he can, especially his crib!!
• Babbles often but still no mamamam or dadadada
• Blows bubbles

I'm sure there is more that we are forgetting, but he is sure a busy boy! Once he figures out those legs he be giving us some exercise! One thing that always holds true each month...he is just the sweetest thing ever! We love you Jack!

Sunday Funday

This afternoon we got out of the house to enjoy this amazing weather! We have a small little park a few blocks away from us and it was perfect for Jack! I have to travel to California on Monday for work and while I am excited to return to work, I'm super sad to leave my little boy! I have never been away from him for more than a day, so 4 days is going to be a long time! I wanted to enjoy as much time with him today as I could! We sure did have fun!

After the swing we went over the the horse see-saw, he was drooling because he was trying to figure out how to get this yellow horse in his mouth!! ha ha

There were so many leaves at the park, we laid Jack in them....but he was not a fan!

While we were trying to play in the leaves, we found a buck!

What a great day at the park! Jack pocketed his buck and off we went!

I'll miss you next week buddy, be good for Nelvi and Daddy! Thank you Gran for coming over to help Kevin too! Ill be back Thur with lots of kisses and a sweet surprise!

Sweet dreams of Hope

He is the JOY of our lives. As we watch Hope for Haiti tonight, a special program airing on all stations for the disastrous earthquake that hit Haiti on Jan 12th, we are thankful for our family and all that we have been given in life. We donate in honor of our precious boy in hopes that we can help someone else's precious boy. God Bless.

Beautiful Days

Today was one of those days, absolutely beautiful! The birds were out and singing, the squirrels out chasing each other, and our dogs were laying in the sun! Nelvi took Jack outside and he had so much fun watching her water the plants. I had a lot of work to do today but I took a moment too snap a few pictures of them!

He loved watching the water spray out! Just fascinated!
I crave days where we can open all the windows and doors...it makes for a productive and fun day! Oh and it just makes ya smile too!!

Here is a good shot I got of his 2 teeth! Folks, we've got a set of double chompers! Wahoo!
