Helping Hands

We have been really busy trying to get the house spotless for the sale of our current home.
We have had so much help from Jack, it really is the cutest thing...

Except when I left to go clean another window he yelled to Kevin that he was cleaning the dirty mess. Kevin went to go in to see what he was talking about and he had taken his diaper cream and started to make a mess on the window so that he could clean it...lol stinker!

yup those are his little finger tracks all over the window!
So we decided we need some more hands to help out with the cleaning and they worked their magic today!
We are so beautiful inside and I hope the added touch of fresh flowers all around the house makes someone fall madly in love with our casa! PS- Did you know if you put equal parts water/7-up that tulips love it! They will last a really long time! Notice how much liquid is in the vase, it doesn't take much! I have had these guys since Wed and they are still beautiful 6 days later.
We decided that dinner would be out tonight since the kitchen was wiped down and clean. Berryhill $2 taco night hit the spot and you know Jack was all over that free ice cream with sprinkles!
Oh and thanks Mimi for the fun safari shirt :)
Thats all we have, kinda boring over here, but we really hope to get some action in the next few weeks on our house and then I can share with you the big plans we have in for our little family!

Natachees Supper 'n Punch

If you are a friend of mine, you know that I am always in search of the something fun for my family to do. So when I heard that our good friend Kallie was going to be in town I right away started thinking of brunch spots for Sunday. I remembered the recommendation about a hole in the wall brunch spot downtown. So I offered up the suggestion to our group and we all met up at Natachees.

I am 100% certain I have found my new love in Houston. This place was perfection! The weather was amazing, they had an entire outdoor section for kids to play in the sand and run around like wild banshees. Every parent there was on the same page. It was as if we all had a meeting and said lets take turns watching the kids while we each get to enjoy our table and food. It was so awesome!
Of course the added bonus was that our weather has been amazing.

Enjoy pictures of my favorite new spot!

Jack found the sand box right away!
How perfect is this? Chairs line the sand box to just have a drink and watch your kids...
which is just what I did with $2 mimosas on Sunday...yumm

our friends down from Dallas...love little miss Harper!

How cute- and the food was good! It did take a while for it to all come, but with this type of setting you really didn't notice that it took longer.
One of the moms from another group was teaching all our kids how to hokey pokey...ha! Jack was so darling giving it a try.. I'm in love!!

This brunch/supper spot is top on my list, and I'm glad that its not on these peoples list. Can you believe that this is a line for breakfast (just right behind where we ate) ...I was told its the best chicken and waffles you will ever have, but wow this line is out of control, and I'm told ..this line is always like this! wowzers! I will take my new found spot over this any day! No waiting for us at all!
But I did make note because I might just have to join this line one morning to taste what all the fuss is about!
I never thought I would LOVE living in Houston....and while I do miss Austin,
Houston is home and I'm loving every weekend we get!

Movie night returns

Aunt Stacy & Uncle Joe kicked off the return of the family outdoor movie at their house. The feature this month was The Muppets and what a cute movie it was! I'm pretty sure the adults liked it way more than the kids, bringing us all back to our own childhood! So fun!
There was delicious food (as always) and Jack was loving cousin play time!

Perfect hosts, popcorn, family, swimming, drinks, outdoor movie, amazing blanket weather with a star filled sky...it doesn't get much better!

Going green, going swimming and going Mad!

Friday morning our yard looked like this...
and by afternoon it was green! Magic!
I am making it hard to leave this house...its so darn pretty! And so we enjoyed our new sod and some fresh fish our neighbor gave us from a catch on Thursday...yum!
Saturday morning we woke up and drove out to Katy to look at another version of a model home from the builder we are considering. We ended up stopping at some random restaurant because they had a playground outside that you could sit, eat and watch your kids. We ended up running into one of Kevins childhood friends and chatted with them for a while! We all came home and snoozed before we got up to check out one more house in Sugarland. Since we were out that way we decided to take a dip in Grandma and Grandpas pool where Jack took off like a fish!
After dinner Gran had a great idea to make cookies with Jack..
he tried his hardest to roll them into balls, so cute!

cutting and placing the cookies just perfectly.

they were delish.... I might have had more than two...

On Sunday we got our hats on for a Mad Hatter Tea Party in honor of Jacks cousin Sophie's 2nd birthday!

Jack ran straight for the fun while I snapped pictures of how darling everything was set up!
I love a good party!

Happy Birthday to the most darling little Sophie in Wonderland

These took the icing on the cake for best cupcakes! How adorable are these?

Fun to be had by all with Sangria and bounce houses!

We wore this little guy out yet again :) Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
