Berliner Family Egg Hunt

 Oh yes, we had another Egg Hunt this afternoon! I told you Jack has a social calender that puts mine to shame! The boy is busy, and well I guess that makes us busy too :) The sweet Berliner family opened up their lovely home for the kids this afternoon with the Barnes & Noble story time reader dressed as the sweetest Easter Bunny you have ever seen. She told me that she made that costume 30 years ago when she had young boys and loved all of the Easter fun that we are experiencing now. After story time the hunt was on, and this was a real hunt! By now with so many egg hunts under our belts, Jack knew what he was looking for, so it was perfect that this time he actually had to search for the eggs!

  Spring has sprung and we are loving every minute of it...Jack is too with all this candy, oh my!

Early Easter Breakfast

 My Aunt M & Uncle G were in from North Carolina and my Uncle J from Dallas. After the egg hunt at HEB this morning, we came home and got cleaned up for a family breakfast! Jack was shy for all of 3 minutes..and was showing off/ laughing the entire time they were here. We had an easy breakfast with eggs, taters, bagels and fruit...it was just perfect. I loved that we pulled down my great grandmothers everyday china/flatware and that we sipped out of my grandfathers etched glasses from London. It was a sentimental breakfast for us all using all of that, and especially one when my my Great Aunt is in her last days with us (living in Colorado). We cried, prayed and laughed .. and it really was a morning we all needed.

Love makes a family, and we have plenty of it!

 Yes I know Emily Post or my Junior League Tea Room Manager wouldn't approve of my setting layout, but  I'm ok with that :)

HEB Egg Hunt

 This morning we woke up early to be at our local grocery store for an Egg Hunt down the aisles. We love our HEB so much, even though we have a Central Market just a few streets from us, this HEB is like being at Central Market, with all the other pleasantries that you can't get at CM.  It's the best grocery store, and since we cook at home almost every night, we know the store pretty well :) So we got word that early in the morning they would be doing a hunt for the kids! We never set alarms in the morning because Jack is our alarm, but this morning he was late! Oops :) So we rolled out of bed (literally) and fast tracked to find some eggs! Jack still in his pajamas (at least they were Hanna Anderson, does that count? haha) with a cool bed head look enjoyed his morning. He got to pick out a fresh croissant for breakfast, meet the Easter Bunny/ HEB Buddy, score a ton of eggs and even get an instant winner prize! 

 Thanks HEB for a super fun bright and early morning! I don't know what I would do without an HEB!

Easter Spoils

 Each one of Jacks grandparents really spoiled this little boy for Easter! MiMi put together a wonderful basket full of treats, sweet novelties and even some coins for the piggy bank! Jack had a ball pulling each item out, testing it and moving to the next! Oh and we have stickers all over the house from it, awesome! Gran & Gpa Strehlow put a generous blessing to Jacks college fund, and there is no doubt that this kid will be able to choose were he goes to school! We are so lucky to have a fund set up, it's really an amazing thing that Jack, Kev and I are so thankful for! Gpa King mailed a box of Easter spoils all the way from Florida and Jack spent almost an hour digging through/playing with it all. Since grandpa doesn't get to see Jack that often I decided to photo the opening of the box! We are surrounded by the love of Jack's grandparents near or far and that's the best Easter blessing you could have!

"Wow Cool" is his new phrase and that's exactly what he was saying when he opened the box up!

 I was checking out the clothes he got while Jack was checking out his toys!!

 He made Nelvi open this, so to alleviate a screaming fit we told him he could have two. He counted out two himself, this boy loves to count! But of course after the two were gone, he wanted more but that was enough sugar for the day :)

 He was ready to go inside so he grabbed his basket put his toys back in it and hauled it inside, he is growing so fast with his own opinions on how this big world works!

 Once inside he unloaded it all again to inspect it all over again :)

 The musical Easter book from the basket was a hit!

 To thank you grandpa we colored a picture for you ....

 We just happen to pick a random page and I laughed once I looked at it, the big rabbit looks like my Dads hair in the morning, he he he, and I just thought what a perfect little picture to color for Grandpa!

Thank you to the best grandparents a boy could ask for, I'm looking forward to all the years we have ahead watching our boy put smiles on your faces, as you sure put one on his! We love ya'll!
