Grandpa King visits Jack

Grandpa King flew in from Florida to meet Jackson. He couldn't take his eyes off of Jack and loved on him all weekend! It was so special to see my Dad with his first grand baby, and we couldn't have been more proud to share this sweet little boy with him. We admit we are pretty boring these days as there isn't much to do with a two month old, I warned my Dad of this, but he was a great sport and said no problem, all I'm here to do is spend time with y'all!
Here are a few pics from his visit.
We were all really tired on Friday, as my Dad had to get up early to catch his flight and I had to wake up early to go get him. So we all decided to take a nap while Jack was taking his. Grandpa was already taking a nap when Chico joined him, it woke him up and he soon realized Chico wasn't going to move so they just went to sleep.... haha so funny
When we finally woke up we decided to take the short ride over to the Rajun Cajun to eat some dinner and this started the eating trend.... making the rounds over the weekend to a few of our favorite places to eat! I think we all will be working out a little more this week....

The next morning Jack slept until 7 am! What a great sleep for us all! We took Grandpa over to Empire Cafe for a morning brunch full of wonderful Migas, fresh fruit and squeezed OJ! Once again Jack fell right asleep amongst all the noise, he just loves people talking and the wind blowing on him. My boys were matching in the seersucker and boat shoes...how cute :)

My Dad brought with him a truck load of clothes that Jacks Great Grandmother sent down for him. They are all so cute, and will be great for next summer!

For Dinner I knew we had to get my Dad some Tex-Mex, when he comes that's a must do on the list. We don't have Baby A's in Houston so the next best thing is Chuys! Yummmm... I think we had about 3 baskets of chips....oh dear!! You just can't go wrong with anything on the menu!
Oh and the margaritas are always a hit with us!

Grandpa didn't want to put Jackson down, I don't blame him!!!

Finally the wonderful visit had to come to an end....Jack was asleep as usual in his swing but Grandpa made sure to give him a kiss and off we went to the airport. We love you and hope you enjoyed your time in Tejas with Jack and the crew!

Labor Day Weekend BBQ

Grandpa King went to Austin for the day, and we got invited to our friends Sasha and Shane's house for a yummy BBQ. They have the coolest roof top deck, and the best view of downtown! I didn't get any pictures of the interior of the house but I LOVE it! Sasha's mom and Shane's brother are both amazing artists, between the two of them they have adorned their home with beautiful work. Jackson had lots to look but as you can see in the pics with Sasha and Shane, he was ready to get his bottle..lol! Thanks guys for another great evening!

Am I cute or what?

My girlfriend JaneE says that her baby (who is only a few weeks older than Jack) gets cuter and cuter each day...and its true! I mean everyday these boys just get so stinkin' cute and we just cant stop taking pictures! Today our friend Jessica Gross had a bridal shower at the St. Regis down the street from us, but I couldn't attend as we had Grandpa in town. So on her way to the shower Grandma Strehlow stopped by to say hi and see her sweet little grandson. We snapped a few pictures and they are keepers! Frame them up!

Are you reeeeeeady for some football?

Hey Jack... do you think we are going to get beat today....Nahhhhhh he says :) Thank you to Marilyn Wood for fitting us with all our Texas gear! We have three outfits and we shall be sporting them throughout the football season. We also are teaching him how to toss his horns up! Check out these big smiles, he is a such a flirt! Gpa King in town visiting us, we will have a long post soon with pics!

Puppy+Froggy+Skeleton = SPOILED

My mother comes on Thursday to visit Jack and most often she comes bearing gifts...surprised? No, I knew she would, so I fully expect it and embrace that my child is spoiled!
So this week we got decked out with Halloween. I was complaining that all of the Halloween outfits were too bulky for a little baby. Mom to the rescue...she went shopping and usually a kid gets ONE costume... but not this little toot. He has three outfits to change into.

We will actually be on a plane from Honolulu to Maui on Halloween with Jack heading to Aunt Stacy and Uncle Joes wedding. I think we will put him in the Skeleton onesie on the plane for comfort.

Then we will go trick-o-treating in the neighborhood of the house Stacy and Joe has rented for our family (http://www.vrbo.com/71812) I can not wait! I have dreamed of dressing up my child for a while now! It's so AWESOME that I get to have a couple of outfits to change him into! Plus we all know that babies drool, spit-up, poop ...so having a backup costume is a must :)

We love all of them that she got, but how fitting that he will be a dalmatian puppy, because my favorite costume of my own is Cruella! I think I'm one good Cruella, probably because I have some of her personality in real life...Muahhahahaha

Next year Jackson will be big enough to fill out and look adorable in a Tom Arma costume, these are the the creme de la creme of baby costumes and I have had my eye on them WAY before I had a baby in mind. http://tomarma.com/.
Most would ask how I even knew about them, well I'm Jessica .. enough said :)

I have hands?!

How exciting!!! Today I'm pretty certain that Jack found his handAdd Image to hit the toys! He was moving his arm back and forth in a controlled motion while watching the result...his toy moving around and making noise. He kept hitting in the same area where the Baby Gundy Giraffe is. (Thanks Ruth Ann for this adorable toy, its his favorite!) You can see from these pictures where the toy is blurry.... it's from Jack banging it around! He is such a smart little boy!
Such a blessing! Life is good :)
