Just in case...

you wanted another look at this cute big boy haircut, here he is this morning:) Notice the golf club had to have some repair tape (blue), apparently someone was hitting a little rough yesterday! ha

First Haircut!!!

I made a style appointment for Jack THREE times and canceled each time. I just couldn't bring myself to cut those beautiful curls off, but the party in the back was getting too long.... so luckily the stylist (Maria) understood and let me make another appointment and I promised I would keep it this time. So this morning we woke up and that we did, we got his haircut! I miss the curls but I LOVE his new look! She did such a great job! She had suckers ready and magic fingers that worked lighting fast! So here it is the transition from curls to new big boy Jack haircut!

Look at all that hair we started out with!

 I think Jacks haircut is more expensive than Kevins...ha!

 He actually did really well, until she took out the buzz clippers, he wasn't a fan of that, but she got it done and he was fine just a few moments later!

 For a treat we took him to McDonald's for orange juice and a breakfast muffin

 I got ready for a baby shower and Jack and Daddy played golf in the backyard. After a stressful work week, I'm so glad to have started my weekend with a big smile, an adorable son and awesome husband!

Big Lemons

 Our adorable neighbor Caroline set up a lemonade stand out front and we of course had to go pay a visit.
I only had a $20 and I couldn't imagine asking her for change...by the looks of these pictures those were some good lemons, so we didn't mind :)

 Jack wasn't really sure how to drink from a big cup...

                                          But he quickly figured it out...

 ...he also learned that walking and drinking was a hard task that led to spilling lots of lemonade... good thing we had second glass of it!

We are starting to learn our numbers and this is Jacks favorite new thing...having us count things :)  

He has found that on his cash register there are numbers...and pushes them over and over and over again! Practice makes perfect I guess :)

If you have a ball popper you know that anything BUT the regular balls go in it, we find all sorts of items in the ball popper. But this morning we counted all our balls ...all 10 of them!

 We counted the squirrels that taunt the dogs each morning...

 When Nelvi got here he practiced showing our numbers... notice Nelvi has two fingers up and Jack has two fingers up as well...just on different hands. He hasn't quite mastered putting up two fingers on the same hand...ha!

Wonder Dog

You can use him for a cushion...

You can rough house with him or be really sweet....

You can give him slobbery kisses...

 

                         Or you can even use him as a foot stool ...

Yep there isn't a wonder on why Jack loves him so much!

 

Rodeo 2011

 Today we decided to go to the Houston Rodeo with Jackson. I had a cute cowboy shirt for him but it was long sleeve and it was a tad too warm for it, oh well... next year! We headed over to the livestock show and we were a little surprised on how Jack was reacting to the animals. Last year he loved all the animals but this year he for sure had opinions on which ones he liked and which ones he was scared of.

When Jack saw a cow or a longhorn he really got scared and wanted Kev to pick him up or be as close to him as he could. It was the sweetest thing! Last year he loved looking at the cows, but maybe the longhorns just scared him, who knows but we didn't stay in that area long!

 

 

Instead we headed over to the petting zoo, which he had an absolute ball of a time chasing and feeding the animals!

 

And it didn't take him long to remember what he did last year that he thought was so funny...pull ears! I reminded him that we pet not pull the animals! stinker!

This was probably my favorite moment of the day. I told Jackson that there was a pig behind him, so he turned around and went straight up to the pig and got down at the pigs level to look at him. I'm not sure what he was doing, but he wanted to see that pig up close! So funny!

I thought pigs would be scary because a lot of them were squealing really loud,  but they ended up being Jacks favorite animal!

After the livestock area we took a quick stroll outside but didn't stay too long because it was really windy!

 

But we were there long enough to watch some people eat very interesting items! Check out this list!

I found a Berryhill taco for my diet, but oh did a fried oreo sound so good!

You can't be at the rodeo without some type of bling.. so I happen to purchase this headband there so that I sparkled too :) ha

 

We had a little bit of a rough start with the initial animal meetings, but once we found the goats, pigs & chickens we were in good shape! Next year maybe we will give those cows a chance again!
