When Daddy is away...

here is all the fun we get ourselves into on a Saturday........

Hailey turned 3 and we celebrated at Pump it Up, which pretty much is a moms ideal birthday party to attend! From 10 am until 12 pm your kid gets to jump, run and slide...
which lends for a wonderful nap when you get home!

I had to take this picture, because while I say I love this age (which I really do)... this age comes with lots of moments like this! This moment was because he was upset that he couldn't go into the "cake room" as he called it to get a piece of cake.
We quickly defused that situation and he was off to play ring around the rosie

 Jack spotted the pinata!

We eventually did make it into the cake room and he got what he wanted :) We then came home took a nice nap and then woke up to head over to Last Concert Cafe. Our friend has a daughter who puts on an event called Rock Out Cancer. Isabelle is the coolest kid I know and so we had to show our support and we always love the fun kids bands that attend!

He loved these little glasses and kept them on for a good hour! ha
Isabelle introducing the bands, this one was so cute with three brothers!

 Melts my heart!

We got to hang out with my friend Pam whom I worked for when I first moved here. She is a breast cancer survivor as well as my grandmother too, so we for sure had two wonderful people to "rock out" for!
 Toms Fun Band!
Then we got in the car and drove out to Sugarland, to head to what Jack would call the most ideal birthday party...
You guessed it.. Chuck E. Cheese's!

We celebrated Dante's birthday and I think the men were having just as much fun as the kiddos!

When CEC came out to say hi to all the birthday tables, Jack got SO excited and started waving and said "there he is, I see him, there is Chuck E Cheeeeeeezies" lol so cute!

I think tomorrow we will just hang around the house and relax while we wait for Daddy to get back from his trip!

Bad Birds and Bad Bugs

So for those of you that know me, you know I'm always laughing at my mother in laws 24 hour adventures. Well guess what she actually had a 96 hour adventure in China last week. (Gran correct me if I'm wrong..maybe it was only 72 hours?) She loves to travel, and don't get me wrong so do we, but not for just a day or two :) Any who so back to where we were, she went to Hong Kong for a few days and called me this evening to see if she could stop by. I said, of course and right when she walked in Jack got a huge smile and said "Grandma!!!"
She said his favorite word "present" and he dove in....

We have hex bugs, but she ended up getting us new bugs that actually look more like bugs. Gran you will like this...Debbie (neighbor) came over to ask me a question about the Easter party tonight and she right away said "hey where did you get THOSE bugs"...
So we are feeling very special to have some one of a kind "bad bugs" as Jack calls them.
If you don't keep them in the track these little stinkers are hard to find in your house if you let them go! We lost the red/black one for a few hours and Daddy ended up finding it under the couch.

And as if that was cool enough, she got him his very own "bad bird" t-shirt! I made the mistake of telling him when we were putting his pajamas on that I was going to wash the shirt so that he could wear it tomorrow.... yet I failed to realize my two year old doesn't know what tomorrow is. So we had a little struggle at bedtime tonight because he was insisting on wearing the shirt to bed...lol
I won. But make no mistake it will be clean for the morning! His night time routine includes two lovies and his "red bad bird"... yes, that one that was tossed from a float during mardi gras..has now made it in to bed with him every night...lol

I love this age!

He went to give Gran a huge hug on his own, such a sweet boy! Thank you so much for thinking of Jack and picking out the most perfect little gifts for him! Until your next adventure... xo

Splashes & Scooters

Last night we had Wes come over for dinner, bath and story time while his parents did some work entertaining for the evening. We were so glad to have our best friend over and the boys kept busy all night chasing each other around :)

In case you are wondering why the water is blue...Jack loves these and they get him straight to the tub when we say "what color do you want your water to be tonight"....

Today right before nap (which is my lunch time at work) I heard Nelvi tell Jackson that he needed to get some energy out, so they took his scooter for a ride.
He has been practicing in the garage with the one foot approach and been doing pretty well.
He still gets a little nervous... so we put him in his lighting McQueen gear for the real street.
Helmet, knee pads and light up McQueen shoes!
He melts my heart when I see him in all this big boy stuff! Our little love is getting so big!

After a few times, he gets tired and wants Nelvi to push him :)
