Hello burbs

We never really thought about building a new house, and had always been looking at existing houses. But after several conversations with friends we decided to take the plunge and signed on the dotted line (with a few contingencies) to build a new beautiful forever home. We wanted a certain size lot that could (if we wanted) eventually hold a pool. That is where the contingency comes in, we have to wait for a section ahead of us to build out. So if all goes as planned the time frame to put us into our new house has been scheduled for Dec 2012. Fingers crossed that our forever home stays on track for end of year move it, she is a beauty. I have always loved Highland homes, and we are extremely excited about all the bells and whistles it will have. We hope for a smooth building process, amazing new neighbors and hopes for Jack thriving and loving the burbs just like we did growing up.
Here is the house we are building (all pictures below are the same elevation/floor plan, some have 2 car ports VS 1 single car port...we will do 2 car port) but we can't decide on which brick/stone we like the best. We have asked our family and they are just as divided as we are :) Hopefully one of them will speak to us soon!

And there are are lots left for sale - maybe you will want to buy one and come be my neighbor?
I promise to be the very best! :)

Option 2

Option 3

So we had to find a place to live between move out of Ingersoll and new build...
We decided to head out to the burbs and "test" drive the area we are about to buy in. Finding a 6 month house lease proved to be a little difficult so we didn't get in the exact area but we are very close. Jack has adjusted well to a house other than Ingersoll and we have too. Its amazing what a little more space and a few extra windows can do for you! It's a really basic home, but its only for a few months and we are surely enjoying the amenities that the neighborhood has, with daily trips to the splash pad, pool and pocket park.

One thing that is new for us.... these! I have never been more excited to do laundry. I'm certain that will wear off eventually :) ha

We have a new school and Jack is already doing summer camps and LOVES it.
