Little Explorer

I love this website, it gives you free or cheap things to do in Houston. I happened to look at it while Jackson was taking his nap this afternoon and noticed that Target was sponsoring a FREE day at the Children's Museum. We spend lots of dinero at Target so it was so nice of them to give us something free! Kevin was golfing so I thought it would be a great thing for just the two of us to do. Jackson was so much more interested in EVERYTHING this time, it was really so neat to watch him explore on his own.

There is a series of a few boxes that make noise or light up, and each one has a little bear family doing something. You have to lift the shade up to see whats going on and Jack LOVES them!
He did this all by himself and I just had to position him on the slide but he went down all on his own! So neat!
This little girl was so cute and her mom was so sweet. I took a few pictures of her and emailed them to her mom because she forgot her camera. Jack loved watching her laugh!

He was pointing to the eyes, nose and mouth of the pictures..as we are teaching him his body parts right now in English and Spanish.

After the Tot Spot we headed down to the big kids zone, which he was always too little for....but now he is all about watching the big kids and tries to do what they do...so cute!!

He watched a girl play with this and then went and did it himself. Its hard to see in these small pictures but you push the pipe in and as you do it the light goes from small to big. He learned to push it in and watched the light. This was one of my favorite moments of the day.

Pointing to all the neat gears above
We had never been outside to the Flow Works section because it was just too hot, but today it was perfect! So I put him in a UV swim top and let him go at it! This was Jacks favorite part of the visit.

Again watching the big kids make waves....
...I can do it too!

He noticed the other kids stepping on the pedal, so he waited for his turn and then tried to make the water shoot out of the canon ...success!
We heard the call bell that the museum would be closing in 30 minutes so we headed inside for a few last minute exhibits...
The Police car and ER vehicle were a must, as he loves to drive those cars!

Quick stop into HEB for a little shopping...
and then off to City Hall....
...to cast his vote for ... sorry cant tell you, I was sworn to secrecy :)
Baby boy I had SO MUCH FUN with you today!!! You make my heart happy!
