6 Month shots... so mean!

Today was our 6 month check up and along with that comes the dreaded shots.... He got three shots and an oral today. The only thing he likes is the oral, of course those shots are horrible and make our sweet boy cry with big tears! BREAKS MY HEART!!

She checked Jack out and said that he is doing so well, growing and developing like a normal little boy. He still has some reflux issues and so we have been told to increase his prevacid dose to 30mg per day. Hopefully she said by 1 year old it will completely be gone. Other than that he is as perfect as can be! She let me know that he can now start using a sippy cup to drink water, and that we should brush his little teefers before bed time!

The Dr's at our Pediatrician practice never give the shots, they have the nurses do it, so that the kids don't associate the Dr with the shots. Though I think kids figure out eventually that going there might just mean getting a shot. We always give him some sugar water, I usually bring a passy but forgot! So I used one of the gloves to dip and give him the sugar water ...ouch I can really feel those teeth!!!

He was less than thrilled with out visit and was so ready to get out of there!

Check out his growth! He is in the 50% percentile for weight, 90% percentile for height! Long and lean with a little bit of chunk on the legs. Guess we wont ever really get the rolly rolls, but that's ok he is perfect just the way he is!

and yes he is in his pjs from last night...lol it was WAY too cold to try and figure out an outfit to wear!
