Baptism

A child is a precious gift from God and a baptism is God's gift wrapping

Today, Jack was baptized at New Hope Lutheran Church. We were so lucky to have our of family in town to share the special occasion. Our wonderful friends, Jessica & Adam Winters are Jackson's Godparents. We have been blessed to have them in our lives, they are amazing friends! We were also blessed to have Jack baptized by, Pastor Rich Wolf, he is the Senior Pastor at New Hope and great friends with Arwin Strehlow, who is very involved in the church. The sermon was uplifting and we love how everything was so relaxed. Jack was touched by many and the Lord will be with him always! After the baptism we all gathered for a small reception at Sienna Grille on the golf course. We had such a great time hanging out with family & friends for the afternoon!

May the Lord give His angels charge over you, to guide you in all your ways Psalm 91:11

Jessica & Adam got Jack the cutest outfit for his baptism!
The Godparents : Jessica & Adam WintersSpecial thanks to Arwin for making it all happen!

Jack was still not feeling well so he did the best he could at his baptism! He was interested in the candle and banging his feet against the holy water, but once I stopped him from doing that he was not a happy camper. Pastor Wolf did a great job and Jess and I teared up during the ceremony. I know we both were thinking how blessed we are to have our families and friendship.

Once the baptism and service was complete we headed over to Sienna Plantation golf course for a small reception at the club to celebrate!

Jack was worn out and took a nap for a little while next to the fire, snug as a bug!

I had Rice Epicurian make an italian cream cake, which was delish!!

I made this for Jessica & Adam, isn't it so cute?! I loved it! I got a shadow box type frame at Hobby Lobby and then found the items to put in it along the way. It turned out really sweet. The picture will be replaced by one from today!

What sweet gestures from our friends and family : A wonderful donation to Jackson's college fund, Thomas book, 12 month frame & cuddle blanket with pjs
We gave pictures framed to each person that attended Jackson's baptism! PS- Grandpa King yours are on the way in the mail!

Jack was doing a lot of this once we woke up, poor baby! Sneeze Sneeze Sneeze! We changed him into the pjs that Jess and Adam got him! So cute!

A beautiful day with a beautiful group of folks!
And on to the funniest picture of the day! As we were leaving the club Jack's Great Grandmother does the "Nani Nani boo boo face" because they were about to pass us. Hilarious! I love our family!
