Cousin Emily

Our family was blessed with another healthy member on Friday August 9th. We welcome Jack's beautiful little cousin Emily Hope! Jack has been talking about baby Emily for a few weeks now. Most recently was Friday night when I put him to bed. Every night after we read books, we pat his back and tell him what we are doing tomorrow. I like to think those are the last words of the night and maybe sweet dreams will be of what we have planned for the next day. So that night I told him we would be going to see Emily. I clarified that we would be going to the hospital because he loves his aunt and uncles house so much. He was quiet for a few seconds and then he said "are we going to the hospital because Aunt Stacy ate baby Emily?" I didn't know quite what to say and just laughed. Such a creative mind in thinking babies were made by swallowing them. :)
As soon as we got to the hospital Jack went right over to Emily to look at her. Once he got his fix it was off to play with Ethan!
Aunt Stacy and Uncle Joe will have their hands full with a 1 year old and a newborn but we are so excited for cousins and all the fun we will have together! We love y'all so much!!!
