Less than 2 months

Christmas is almost here and I know this because my 30 minute Costco trip now takes me an hour...all because of three jammed packed aisles of bright shiny buttons for my son to press! And don't you know we have to go down ALL THREE.
There is no fooling him, he knows there are three, he is such a smart little cookie!
We went in for wipes and came out with a few things to add to Santas list.

and I wish we could add this to the list, but we just don't have any room. I just sat on the stool and watched him play for a while in this great kitchen. I could hear him telling himself, "wash your hands, dry them off". And then he was telling himself "be careful" when he was near the little oven. So so so so cute!
He was cooking grapes and ketchup for me and even gave me a spoon! How delish!

and because my phone only holds about 10 pictures and that I had to text them to my husband who then had to email them to me, this is on Mommy's Santa list! I've heard that Siri is amazing, I hope she babysits too?

spoiled sweet

My Dad and Edith spoil Jack so much, I love it so!
The post man dropped of a box and Jack came barreling in with a box that was bigger than him, saying "Mommy open the box". (notice the word THE, we have been watching a meet the sight words that Kevin's mom got us and I think its sinking in!! I couldn't believe when I heard him say THE in his sentence! amazing!) I think with all these special deliveries we will be very ready and know what to do at Christmas, ha! We were on the phone after we opened our box of treats to thank my Dad and Papa started laughing because he could hear Jack saying "all done, more candy" ...to which I told him no sir, as he had scarfed down a twix bite and lolly pop! My Dad promptly said "oh come on let my boy have some candy"... ha! So he might have gotten one more piece because of Papa... Jack says Thanks!

I am off of work on Friday because we have a school fall festival and a afternoon Halloween play date with friends, so Jack will be wearing this!! LOVE!
he is saying "open candy, open candy"
Checking out his Mr. P, how perfect is that with all the eyes. He has tried to put so many eyes on all his craft projects lately..ha!

Here is all the loot Jack received....

Yep we are spoiled sweet in this house! Thank you sooooo much! We love yall!
Here is a video of Jack saying thank you :)

Treats for tots

I was room mom last year for Jack's class and my mom really helped out by going to Target and picking up treat bags for each holiday! Although this year I didn't sign up to be room mom (it's a lot of work, maybe next year? I needed a break!) my mom was still so kind to pick out treats for his class for Halloween.
We have quite a few more kids than last year (6 vs 14) ...
so Mom it's ok if we skip St. Patty's Day treat bags this year, ha!
I am signed up to volunteer this Friday to help set up for his class party in the morning, so I am looking forward to seeing all of the kids dressed up. Jack has two costumes, one for school and one for Halloween night. Lets hope he keeps them on long enough for a picture!

Itty Bitty Pen Pals

Jack and I signed up for a fun blog exchange through Meredith that matched little friends to be pen pals over the next three months! I thought the idea was darling so we got to shopping. We were assigned another boy who is around the same age named Thomas. Here is what we sent him....

..and two of my favorite things
These little Halloween bath ducks, so fun!
...and these straws were just too cute not to pass up, so I thought Mom would like them for her juice :)
We wrote our pen pal a note and off went the package!
Then.....we got something in the mail from Thomas!! Jack I will tell you was not excited at first, look at that face..such a 2 year old!
..but then I told him there would be toys and maybe candy... and he perked RIGHT up!
and got really excited when he saw what was inside!

Look at this fun bucket!
...and Jacks favorite were these COOL cars! GREAT job Thomas in picking out everything, we LOVED it and can't wait to talk again in November! Happy Pen pal'ing!

Ballunar Night Glow

We were supposed to go the Fire Festival this morning but Mommy got really sick during the night and had to sleep through the morning to rid of either a quick bug or a dehydration issue. Either way I have liquids in me now and the sleep broke my fever around 2 pm today. I didn't want this to stop us from going to the Ballunar Festival at Johnson Space Center, so I was glad that I was feeling better by the time 4 pm rolled around.

We packed up the car and headed to Nasa to see all the hot air balloons and the night glow! While I have actually been in a hot air balloon (talk about amazing), I had never seen a night glow with so many balloons, it was such a treat for all of us to participate in
....especially since we had front row seats and were SO close to it all!

 Check out that popcorn face!

Jack was holding us tight, he loved the colors but when they fired up the balloons he got a little scared..

Look how close we were! So neat!

We will for sure do this again next year, it was a beautiful evening!
