Great Start!!

What a great start to a fun weekend ahead! Gran stopped by early this morning to drop off her famous wonderful delightful and everything else in between lasagna! We even scored some home made brownies! Delish! We are headed this weekend to our family's timeshare in Galveston. While Gran heads off to her other timeshare in Hawaii. It's really cold, rainy and wet here... and it's sunny bright and beautiful in Hawaii....do you think we could sell this lasagna for an outrageous price and join her?? :) ha ha I'm pretty sure after someone tasted it, we might be able barter for a flight, folks its really THAT GOOD! :)
All joking aside we actually are really excited to go down to Galveston, and are blessed that our family has this wonderful place that will provide so many memories for Jack! I can see several summers ahead of relaxing on the beach while Jack digs a hole and buries Daddy in the sand! We are going to make the best of this weather and enjoy our time! We have some friends joining us down there and look forward to maybe partaking in a few Mardi Gras activities if we can!

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

I love this picture, Kevin was trying to get Jack to look this way for the camera and was making funny faces. Guess we made Gran look too!! So funny :)

We are back in action folks!!

Our camera is out of the shop and it came with a pretty price tag to fix, but I'm kinda addicted to taking pictures, so the expense is worth it :)
I'm fairly certain that Jack had a growth spurt over the past few days because he eats like he has never eaten and has outgrown so many of his clothes! I had to put him in seersucker pants because none of his other pants fit him! Hurry up spring and come we are tired of all this cold weather.

He is outgrowing this tub, Mr. Long Legs!!

I copied my bloggie friend Becca at The Paro Post and purchased this really cool tool, which attaches to your camera and gives you more of a natural light. Jack's bedroom curtains are always closed so unless I use the flash the pictures turn out really badly. I just love how these next few turned out, they are so sweet! He is sitting up for longer periods of time. We all know its on his schedule, so we are patient and it will all happen when he is ready!

Jumpin' on that one way train!

Ok so we jumped on the Saints train...we had to pick a team to root for during the Super Bowl, after all we have a little boy, and all little boys have to be introduced to football at some point! So many of our Houston friends are from Louisiana so we decided to go with the crowd. We went to the Badeaux's house with all our kid gear in tow. Jack played for a little while and then went to his pack-n-play while we watched the rest of the game. It actually was a pretty fun game and I even won on the squares game! However I'm so glad this train has an end, and it was tonight! No more football for a while! WHOO HOOO!!

I miss my camera, and cannot wait to get it out of the shop this week! Cell phone pictures are no fun! But I just couldn't resist, I had to take a few :)

Jack with his Who Dat onesie that I made really quick
Future quarterback? Hands movin' so fast in this picture because he was excited about the football.
Watching the game in the Badeaux media room, they have the most comfy movie seats!

Jack laying down in his pack-n-play in the guest bedroom. He is such a good boy, he will sleep anywhere!
We picked a good train, Saints beat the Colts 31-17!
Hope you had a queso eating good time at your Super Bowl party! Jack is back at home asleep in his crib and we are not far behind him! Night Night!

Crawling ...almost

I got the video out because he was laughing so much and wanted to catch it on tape. I guess he hasn't seen the video camera in a while... he was super interested in what I had in my hand! Jack is in the swimming phase, he gets those legs going really fast...and he knows how to turn to get what he wants...but lift off hasn't taken place yet. Its realllllly close though! Enjoy our video! We haven't taken one of these in a while! Oh and towards the end he tries to eat the camera! Hilarious!

Smock me baby!

I love to shop, however I refuse to pay full price for anything these days! In fact if its not 50% or more I usually wont touch it for Jacks clothes. They grow sooooo fast that paying full price is just silly! A couple of my friends taught me a fun way to shop for all those adorable seasonal outfits ...go after the season ends and purchase for the next year! DUH! Brilliant! I get all my smocking for usually 60 to 80 percent off! Here is the latest spree, though its really not a spending spree since I got all of this for less than $140, what a steal!
I started out on one of my favorite sites- they are based out of Wilmington, North Carolina. www. boojue.com If you go to the SHOP area and then go into sales they have great prices! Some of the stuff even comes with a monogram at no extra cost!
When I was talking about the seasonal smocking outfits that can on a normal day cost $70-$90, you need to head over to Petite Mason in Houston! She puts her stuff 60 -90% off a month or two after the season is over! I also shop at www.windmillkids.com they have seasonal as well!

I got the Whale outfit at http://www.remebernguyen.com/ for Jacks first birthday. We are going to do "A Whale of a time" birthday! Lots of preppy whales and seersucker for the big day! The squirrel outfit I got at Petite Mason - I couldn't help myself on that one! Jack loves to look out the front window in the morning and I'm pretty sure he laughs at the squirrels! This also came from Petite Mason- nothing like a sweet set of Christmas pjs at 75% off!I got an email a while back for free shipping at any price from http://www.bestdressedchild.com/ and scooped this sweet Jon Jon up for a wedding we will be attending in Montana in August. With white long socks and white shoes, he will be set!I adore the store Jane & Jack and love the hats they put out, they are so cute and Jack doesn't mind wearing hats. In the summer I love to keep his little head covered! On a normal day each hat costs $18 or $20!! Who would ever pay that?!? I scored each one of these for around $3 each! I couldn't decide and at those prices I got them all!

Ok folks that's it for Jacks style closet, hope you are having a great day! Go out and getcha' self some deals!

New Toys

Jack received so many wonderful toys at Christmas! We didn't open them all up so that we could space them out and give him some new excitement later down the road. Over the weekend he was a little restless and was showing that he really needed a new something to play with. We opened up this fun little walk/sit/play mobile and he loved it! I'm drawing a blank on who gave this to us... either Gran, MiMi or Aunt Stacy :)

He is starting to sit up finally on his own to play with it, but he still prefers to wiggle on the ground (his version of crawling). The first thing he found was the spinning wheel. He LOVES to spin wheels, such a boy!!

Oh yes I forgot not only do I need to spin it, I need to eat it! ha ha

Baby Jack isn't such a baby anymore! He is growing so fast!!

A Perfect Saturday Night

Our Saturday nights have changed since we had Jack, but we wouldn't have it any other way!
He brings us so much laughter and is just the cutest little fellow!

We started out with some green beans for dinner. yummmmm

Then it was on to chasing Chico around by rolling around and scooting to him (he is REALLY close to crawling)!!
He was fascinated with Chico wagging his tail

Chico is so good with Jack... he lets him pretty much do what he wants. As you can see Buck is nowhere to be found, Buck is protective of Jack but he doesn't really hang around to let Jack pull on his tail..ha haAfter his play date with Chico it was time for bath! This is such a cute picture but he is such a stinker! This is exactly what he does now when we change his diaper! Turns around to his belly and wont let us do it! Its a challenge to say the least!

He has so many bath toys and loves them all! He spends so much time trying to decide which one he wants to play with. Check out blue ducky...Buckley got a hold of him! Poor duck!
Once he decides which one he wants ...it goes straight to the mouth!
I can't get enough of the hooded animal towels!
These next three pictures are my favorite from the night! So cute!

Ready for bed and one last time to touch something.
Sweet dreams on a sweet Saturday night!
