Today we had Jack's well exam and we got back an A+ report. Our boy is 33 lbs 9 oz and is 3 feet 2.5 inches. Per the charts he will be just over 6 feet when he reaches maturity. We didn't have any shots at this exam which was good! We also got the approval to stop his reflux medicine. So that's a cool $150 back in our pocket. That medicine didn't come cheap but I would pay everything I had to make our little feel better!
We talked about how to get more veggies included and talked about toddler tantrums and controlling them. The visit was great and it's nice Dr Pate is off the beltway so our drive to see her isn't bad at all! We are so happy to have received a excellent report for our THREE year old! Oh and before we left to go to the Dr...Jack ran into my office and put his hand in my copier and made an "x-ray" as he called it. He insisted he bring it with us to the Dr. I'm just glad we haven't had to do real X-rays in a while!

Pin King
Before Grandpa was an executive one of his teenage jobs was a pin setter for a local ally. So when we pulled out the bowling set that Jack got for his birthday it was only appropriate that he take a pin set and bowl! Lots of good rolls were had and even a couple strikes by all. After a good match popcorn was served and they chated about a re match :)
Ya got to do what ya got to do
For breakfast sometimes Jack will eat his entire meal and sometimes he demands "snack" instead of eating his breakfast. (which varies between eggs/bacon, waffles, french toast, cereal and we always have fruit) So this morning like I always do, I told him he had to eat breakfast before snack. Most times he listens but this morning he was insistent on snack, that is until I saw sprinkles. I asked him if he wanted sprinkles on his eggs. He got so excited and was all about eating breakfast. Score for Mom!

UFC
Hi Jack it's mom. I would really like it if you grow up your entire life not knowing or liking UFC. I watched it for the first time last night and could not believe why anyone would want to partake in this sport! At any rate we did however have fun while we played with the Badeaux boys! Y'all play so well together and have the best time doing bounce house, hallway runs and outside play! There is never a shortage of food at the Badeaux house. Yumm
Mommy Badeaux and I agree that we can't wait for holiday open houses and all the fun you boys will have together. I love having friends that you have grown up with and given that Kevin and Andy did... Its awesome that their boys do the same!! No fighting. All love. And if you need to get it out use the punch bag :)

4th of July
We headed out to attend a near by neighborhood event for the 4th and so glad we chose this one! Jack had a ball running around all the free bounce houses and he loved the choo choo train that drove in the parking lot. He still wasn't a huge fan of the fireworks. So we left in the middle and we found out the noise just isn't his thing but from inside the car he loved them. So it was a win win. We got to see fireworks and we were the first ones out!

Whats-a-happenin' in July
Since my Dad told us that Jack did so well at the movies when he was here, we decided to take him again. There wasn't anything playing at the big movies that he could watch, so we opted to go check out a $1.50 movie of the Lorax. This place had a little dust on it and we probably won't ever go back, but I'm thankful that we only spent $1.50 per ticket. I think part of the problem was that we broke the parents cardinal rule of never wake a good sleeping kid.We did so and it was cranky city, that is until he saw the video games. Our time was short in the theater and on our way out I think we spent more to play video games than the cost of a movie ticket.
After dinner we went over to get some poppers at the firework stand and ended up with a few more cool things we didn't need... but you always get suckered in at the firework stand.
Today Jack had his first swim lesson at his new school and he did really well, I hope by going every day for two weeks he will improve even more.
We also joined a gym and we are motivated to get back to our old habits of going to the gym every day... Jack is loving the childcare center which makes it easier. I have been making good choices at lunch and hopefully sticking to it for a few weeks! While I was out to lunch in town square with my girlfriends I ran into my husband at lunch and then right before I was at a little store called Em & Lee and ran into my friend Mandell. But you have to be careful, I was at HEB the other day and ran into our realtor and I looked like a homeless person! ha ha But we are loving making this new area our home.
We are making the best of what we have in this kitchen and my little helper gets very excited to make breakfast each morning. We usually do eggs, bacon and fruit. Thanks Gran for getting us this awesome step up! He loves it. Here he is making the bacon in the microwave...
(PS- Jack you are rocking the potty training! We are SO SO SO proud of you!)
..and stirring the eggs.
Some bad news we got word out house won't start until another month or two, so that means more of a Jan/Feb move in :( Booooo! But sometimes you have to wait for what you want!
But good news that means I'm still closer for a little while to Sam Moon and Katy :)
We love (ok maybe only I love) having an iphone now, I can ask my girlfriends if I should buy something and snap pictures instantly of Jack on his way out the door :)
and one last thing...we purchased tickets to the circus! We sure hope Jack likes it, b/c those animals don't come cheap! Thank gosh for coupons from Chickfila!
