Keepin up with the Jones

Some of my friends have asked why I'm going all out for Jacks 1st birthday... well the main reason is because I'm me... Jack was born to a Mom that loves to shop and plan parties..lucky him :) My family reading this knows this all to well :)

I'm certain that subsequent birthdays will be a little more low key, but for his first I wanted to go all out. Oh and it doesn't help that our neighbors go all out too.... so I'm "forced" to keep up with the Jones... ha! Well not really but they have always given me great inspiration! Check out the princess party for our neighbor Caroline who turned 4 today.

We crashed her girls only princess party to take a few pictures and check out the horses before all the girls came out:)

Bubbles as you enter the front door! How fun!Rolling out the purple carpet and the sign hanging from the house says Happy Birthday Caroline. They use that every year, so that's how we can justify these parties to our husbands :)

We can't wait our party coming in July! Wahoo!

World Cup

Today started the first day of the World Cup! I had slightly forgotten about it until our nanny rushed in to turn on the TV and said Jackson today is FUTBOL...Mexico VS S.Africa!!!!!! Working today most my meetings with my teams in Latin America were canceled and the one that was still kept...well I'm pretty sure they were doing it from a bar, when Mexico scored I heard a large group scream with excitement. Funny! Oh and it doesn't hurt that my office is doing a game pool for the World Cup and the prize is an iPad! Come on Team Jack Camo...lets win that iPad!

So we decided to get in the spirit and do it Texas style with a little Team Jack Camo!

The game started out a little slow....

But then we huddled together ... and used our feet...
to kick...
..and SCORE!!!!

What a great game! There will be so many more games and we will be rooting team USA on Saturday! Team Jack Camo will be a tough team to beat! Watch out!

Birthday Patrol

I opened the mail today to find the funniest invitation! My mother in law is hosting a family birthday party for Jack so that the family can enjoy him diving into cake too!

Water Babies

Today we went over to the Winters house to hang out with the twins. They turned 3 years old this past weekend! Whoa! They were so sweet to show Jack their play room, Jack was in heaven with all the new toys!

We decided to head over to the club for a dip in the pool! Jacks Godfather with Ava and Adam in the baby pool. They love the water!
Jack was trying to take Ava's cheetos! Stinker but you have to love the look on his Godmothers face just adoring him! Sweet sweet! It has been a great day! Jack slept in until 9 am this morning! AWESOME!! He is now taking a long nap. I think we found that he just needs one nap now. Such a big boy, he is growing and changing so fast!

Butts Up!

Every night he tucks those feet under him and sticks his butt in the air! He moves around all over the crib throughout the night but always ends up with his butt in the air. My mom said I always did the same thing, too bad we don't have a side by side butt in the air picture!

Beautiful Saturday

I was out for most of the day in a small sweet town near Kingwood at Katies baby shower for baby Cooper! It was such a fun day with some of my wonderful Houston girlfriends. The food was delish and Twin Oaks estate was just adorable! What a perfect southern shower!

So when I got home it was all about family time! We played in the pool, dried off and then headed for a tex mex dinner at Escalantes. After dinner we stopped by the water wall to take in the wonderful night. (cell phone pictures)

There was such a great breeze and so many people just enjoying the night.

There was lots of horse play!

Oh what fun...we love the weekend!!

It's real!!

The party is coming together for Jack's 1st birthday! We are sooooo excited!!! Today I got in the mail these ADORABLE koozies that we won from Runaway Promotions
There was a facebook contest going on to submit a design for a summer koozie. I called up our awesome friend Sarah Fossum to help produce something fun and she delivered! I'm in love!

The party is fast approaching and I love marking things off the list! Wahoo! Thanks RP and SF!

Smart Cookie

Jack is watching EVERYTHING we do these days and taking notes!

Yep that's right he now knows how to follow the dogs out the dog door!! Nelvi was putting the dishes away and she heard the dog flap open, she thought it was Jack just playing with it but when she looked he was outside!!! He crawled through!
